Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an all-in-one business management solution that’s easy to use and adapt, helping you connect your business and make smarter decisions. Built on functionality within Microsoft Dynamics NAV, this feature-rich business management system has robust functionality around financial, supply chain, warehousing, sales and much more. Importantly, Business Central is flexible in deployment and licensing options. This ERP solution can be deployed either on-premises or “In-the-Cloud”. Furthermore, there are different versions of Business Central along with the option to have both full users and additional users such as Team Members. This article will explain what are Dynamics 365 Business Central Team Members.
Full Users are the users whose work requires use of the feature rich business applications functionality. Examples of full users are salespeople, customer service representatives, finance employees, controllers and supply chain managers. These users have also been referred to in the past as “Pro users” or “Power Users.” These full users are licensed with a per named user subscription basis and can choose between either Essentials or Premium versions of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
Team Members are additional Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business subscription named users. The limited user option (team members license) is designed for users who are not tied to a particular function, but who require basic Dynamics 365 Business Central functionality. This license includes read access as well as some write access for select light tasks across Dynamics 365 Business Central functionality for a given tenant.
The Dynamics 365 Business Central Team Members Subscription License (SL) grants a user full read access to Dynamics 365 Business Central Essentials and Dynamics 365 Business Central Premium for a given tenant. In addition, the Dynamics 365 Business Central Team Members SL includes some limited use write access to Dynamics 365 Business Central Essentials and Premium.
Dynamics 365 Business Central Team Members requires that at least one other user be licensed with Dynamics 365 Business Central Essentials or Dynamics 365 Business Central Premium. Dynamics 365 Business Central Team Members use rights and can perform the following:
- Read anything within Dynamics 365 Business Central.
